Default central locking

would my genuine vp holden central locking be able to be connected to the turning lights so that the lights flash when you lock & Unlock the car. if so how because they are working ok but the lights dont flash when you lock/unlock the car or

would it be easier to put a aftermarket central locking in and connect it to the factory immobilisor.

can aftermarket central locking be connected to the factory alarm or factory central locking to a aftermarket alarm. if so how because i need to replace a part in my immobilisor that starts the car with the remote oneday.

or is it easier just to rip everything out to do with central locking and the immobilisor and start again.

the reason for asking this is i want to know whats easier and cheaper because i also want 2 remotes not just one.

i dont have to buy the cheapest one but also not the most expensive one

thanks

am i understanding you correctly....your car has central locking, but lights don't flash when you use remote?...if thats the case, put an inline diode into each indicator feed line under steering column that goes to central locking

so you don't have central locking at the moment?..i would imagine you would be able to hook up to your factory alarmto aftermarket central locking.....sorry if i seem a bit vague on this it's just that my VN Calais has the lot, central locking and immobiliser from factory, and at one stage only 2 of my indicators flashed when i locked-unlocked car,the diode went in the control module,to save money my auto electrician put an in line diode in and now have all 4 indicators flas when locking-unlocking

i do have central lokcing but the turning lights dont flash when you lock it and unlock it and i want them to,

what would be easier because i also want two remotes so i can have a spare one and need to replace a part in the immobilisor that brings up the engine light on the dash once you press the remote button when you start the car. its a vp 1992 executive

go see your auto electrician,it does sound like your diode has gone, ask him about putting an inline one in,(you should then once again have all 4 lights flashing when you press your remote)he should know what you are talking about,as i explained above,as for the second remote, you can buy them as an aftermarket part, now as to whether you can code in an aftermarket one i honestly don't know, once again your auto electrician should know and be able to code it in for you if it is possible, they can code in genuine remotes to factory fitted immobilisers and central door locking as well as aftermarket gear, but as i said i honestly don't know if you can code in an aftermarket one...i can't see why not.
