    Angry Help with front struts

HELP HELP, removed front strut shock cartridge tonight to replace with new monroe shock & it wont fit, cant put nut onto strut body to hold cartridge in place. New cartridge slightly longer than original FE2 one. Checked part numbers & all seems good. Is it too late & not enough caffene or have I been given wrong type??? Or are you supposed to replace old nut with a new one so that it fits??? its too late for this crap. PLEASE HELP!!!

I thought the difference of the FE2 was the spring height not the cartridge length. The new cartridges should have come with new caps, they are designed for the strut and you will find they probably have a deeper recess or longer threaded section.

if the spring height is different .....you need a stut size to compensate..
