my V6 vn sedan's fuel pump has died. first off i have a couple questions......ive heard that some VN's have an internal and external pump??? how do i tell if mine does? secondly is there anywhere i can find a full rundown of exactly what to do and where to find stuff so i can change it? obviously if anyones got pictures that would be awesome but im pretty sure i could follow instructions if someone laid em out for me........thing that really pissed me off is i only just bought it and was literally driving to DOT to change the rego over when it died.....anyway any help you guys could give me would be unbelievable!!![]()
buy a service manual for the year and model of your car, these are pretty good for step by step instructions.
and im sure you will get help on here to, mines just internal (vp) i dunno about the external ones
if everything is stock then it should be internal, and its pretty easy to do. just look around the forums and see.... btw try not to run it out of fuel, kills them(sister done it TOO many times haha)
as far i know there should be 2. internal AND external.
External is the main pump, but cant run dry so they prime it with a smaller internal tank.
I havent looked personally so take that with a grain of salt.
Dont like my driving? Get off the sidewalk!

Only the long range tank (85ltr) has an external pump.
