I'm not too sure about the bt1 features, but I think you can do a LOT better in the VN V6 department with that sort of money. For that price with those ks, you should be looking at a V8.
Just my two cents
(for comparison, my VP V6 set me back just over $2,000 with 190,000 on the clock, and a freshly rebuilt auto, new alternator, new hd battery, new tyres on interceptors, new AC and compressor, and full service records with Patterson Cheney.)

Was it an actual cop car? Or did it just belong to the police force? My VN was a detectives car.

i have also been told to steer clear of ex-cop cars because of that reason.
We got rep back, yaaay!
i would probably steer clear of any bt1's. for the people who own one, they probably think that they go harder then any other vn cos they have a "cop chip", but in other words, they have been thrashed to the s***house, and more then likely havent been looked after as much aswell... people probably just buy them to tell their mates " oh yeh, its an excop car so it will rip your stock POS vn, and the "cop chip" gives like another 25kws... etc", but yeh, i would probably steer clear of one and like Morton said, for that price you should be able to find a cheap 5ltr.
There is no such thing as a police chip. And no they dont have a 3.45 ratio, they have the same ratio as any other VN.
They should have, FE2 suspension, LSD, 80L fuel tank (NOT 85L), Sump protector plate?, fuel tank protector plate?, MAP reading lights/interior light, Different brake pads front and rear, Police spec Instrument Cluster that has 2km increments etc.

yeah 2700 is a bit steep for a vn, i live in wa so cars a bit more expensive than over east, im liking the idea of a 5 litre, seen a few for around 3500, but i dont plan on keeping the car for long, once im earning a bit more cash im set on a vn ss manual, which i would like to keep for a long time, so ill probly spend about 2500 grand on this car thinking a vn v6 calais
