when oil gets old it gets thin and really doesn't do it's job aswell. also your filter can only hold so much crap in it. ya really should change your filter and oil every 10,000. some people say 5000. just get some ngk plugs. they will do the job

NGK Iridium are mainly for cars which have hard to access spark plugs (ie plugs facing to the firewall and a intank over them) and they don't need to be changed as often as the normal plugs (60-100k for iridium and 10-20k normal).
Just stick to normal plugs as there are no real increase in performance in them.

My Iridium IX's were like $19 each, but they last 100,000km's compared to 15,000 or so for normal plugs... So the price works out in the end anyway, and they are a superior plug and offer great spark. They made a difference, especially to my idle.

I have Top Gun 8mm leads but they are sh*t, no different to stock items. Bigger leads are more for engines that need the spark though, on a stock engine stock leads are fine.
