Default VP injectors opening when ignition "ON"

i have a problem with my 5L VP, it wont start, and when i turn the ignition to "ON" the injectors are opening and squirting a heap of fuel in and flooding it, and the injectors flicker and click when the ignition is "ON", i got a sump full of fuel from cranking it before i found the problem. i have try a different ignition module and that didn't work, so what else controls the injectors and could cause this. ECU? or Distributor?.

Did you do anything to the car before this started ? It sounds like either a wiring issue or the ecm.

Same thing happened to me once. The ECU was blown, i had fuel coming out of my exhaust pipe! Pull out the ECU, take off the memcal cover and have a good sniff inside it for a nice burnies smell.

i didn't do anything to the car before it happened, and i just did a fault check and it came up with code 12 which means satisfactory operation.

yes but when the ecu is playing up it can spit out all kinds of different codes if even there is nothing wrong with what it showed... for example it can spit out code 13(o2 sensor i think) even if you only just replaced it 10mins ago... sorry its a bit confusing...

the injectors are supplied power from the EFI relay & the circuit is completed by the ECM.
unplug the ECM & turn the ignition on & see if they still operate, if they do the fault is in the wiring, if not get another ECM & try that.

it's gonna be fixed tomorrow, the computer was faulty, and the reason the fault codes didn't say so, is because the computer checks everything but it's self (obviously).
