Hey i have stock standard injectors 280-150-901, and the flow is 18.55lb hour, and i want bigger injectors what type of car or another holden would i get them out of and if u have the injector number it would be good i was thinking go abit bigger around the 20lb 24lb mark. how much would u pay at the wreckers. thanx.
get cream top injectors out of a magna, 280150706, they are about 24 lb.
watch your fuel consumption go through the roof!
Why do you want bigger injectors ? Without a remap all you will do is fcuk your cats & fuel economy.
There is a guy down here that races a VN on the dirt and he uses injectors out of an XE EFI, it's a race car so no cat.
doubble post...oops
lol your funny.....
creamtops are more like 21lb/h (220cc or something) they're also high impediance so they'll work with commodores....
you'll need to ajust the kinjflow to something more sensible (maybe) to ajust for the fuel rate (its all tuning) but its not %100 required with slightly bigger injectors
im running 570cc (55lb/h) injectors in mine
i dont see any gains on a stock engine of uprading the fuel system,
being a v6 the max power your gonna get out it N/A will be $150 which will require bigger injectors (creamtops might do) and probbly a bigger fuel pump...
but were talking big money from a 6 :P
I just had a look at an injector sizing spreadsheet I have which gives some disturbing results. A 3.8 V6 with only 80%ve needs 17.9lb injectors at 5500rpm. To keep the injectors to an 80% duty cycle you will need 22.3lb injectors. This is allowing for an AFR of 12.5:1 at WOT.
Basically this means that the standard injectors will only just work for a dead stock engine. Exhaust & intake mods could make the car run very lean at high RPM as 100% duty cycle is exceeded .
Paradox616 how much boost are you running?
