    Question Removing Hand Brake Handle???

Hey everyone, just curious as to how to get the handbrake handle off? I want to replace mine with a chrome Isotta version, but i've never removed one before?

Does it just twist off? I had a go but it didnt wanna budge?

If u just takin off the rubber, it will just twist off, maybe heat it up a bit first.

    Mine is loose as.

Whats this Isotta one like, u got a pic?

Add: That looks sweet, i wouldnt mind gettin one of those.

Bumpety, is it just glue that holds it on? Because I tried the one in my VS as well and that too wouldn't budge.

    1. Soke a tea towl in hot water - put some plastic down - and wrap the hot tea tow around it. OR 2. Get the hair dryer. OR 3. Heat gun OR 4. Oxy always worked.

I got it off, its just a matter of braking the seal then twisting it side to side til she pops off.

Got the Isotta one on now too, which is held on by four small allen key screws instead of being slide on slide off.

Havent done the leather boot yet though. Is there anyway to remove the leather boot without pulling the hole centre console out/up?

I really cannot be stuffed removing the centre console section...

as in the leather looking cover with the zip, that covers up most of the hand brake?if thats what you are talking about,no you have to pull up console,as this is held in by small self tapping screws from memory (the cover)
