what would cause the vp to sometimes stall and the engine light come on but for it to sometimes stall and the engine light diss apears but sometimes it may stall with the engine light to come on but when you start the car the light dissappears but when you start the car you have to turn the key on and off a few times then the engine light will come on. just out of interest how do you troubleshoot that problem

when you say engine light, do you meant the warning light? have you checked the fault code? that'd be the first step, the how to check engine fault codes at the top of the vn-vp section will help with that.
