crossmember or K-Frame?.....crossmember for gearbox $20.00 manual/auto
K-Frame the main frame under front of vehicle that holds motor and suspension arms(bottom-obviously)$100.00 but i live in Tassie

its the cross member..just found out that my stabilisation bar is bent as well. d'u reckon its worth getting fixed ?

unbolt engine mounts
unbolt cross member
support engine
drop crossmember down

not a easy job mate, mine got replaced when i had my smash..(not my fault, so i got all this new suspension gear )

pedders can heat it up and reset it, thats always a option.. it will never be as strong however

yeah the k frame is stuffed too...i'll try to get all that done...will let u know how i'm goin with it

rails are bent, suspension arm bent, brake disk bent....not point fixing...going to wreck...thanks guys

I don't know about wrecking it. I can see you fixing all of that with parts off of other wrecked cars fairly cheaply. So long as you can do some of it yourself... hire out an engine crane for a day? $50 or so? And use that to hold up the engine while you change the K frame.

Discs aren't that cheap (and new ones are an investment anyway, not an expense), suspension arms can be had cheaply for a VN/P, and everything else is just held on by bolts Maybe even find a wrecker that fits? They usually don't charge too much.

if your not going to repair it,i'll give you $200 for complete car,shame to see a VN being wrecked

Well you have to consider the value of the car, so I suggest it would be better to wreck it. Unless the cost of damage ain't too much.

i reckon cost of repair is around 300...so... yeah its sitting there being useless...i'd rather seeing someone else drivin it but won't sell it at a ridiculous price neither..

well i'll double .....$400,i don't pay any more than that for damaged VN's especially if guide rails are bent,i don't expect it to be registered.
but i'm sure there are people over your way that will grab it for the right price
