It doesn't take much to beat a stock gen III with a 5 litre VN/P (at least over a short distance), but once the genIII's have a tune and exhaust on them it's not so much fun :|

Not that much of a challenge really. Reckon a dead stock 767 would eat you for lunch though.

165kw... its laughable really... thats about on par with what? a new corolla?
so a stock VN/VP V8 would have maybe 115-120kw at the wheels...

I guess torque is the bonus, but still...

mate had 184.5 at the front wheels on his old car, and that was a 4, so that makes what... about 210 at the flywheel?

Have to admit though, i could never go back to a fart cannon 4 after getting used to the grunty exhaust note of a V6... and a 6L Calais-V is my idea of a nice car to look forward to.

165 at the fly from factory, minus approx 30% drivetrain loss.

Yeah, i know a V6 still sounds weak next to an 8, but its a hell of a lot better than a 4...
Everytime a silvia or pulsar farts past me i cringe....

You wont get that power mate. At the dyno day we had most of the 6's made between around 100-110rwkw.
