Hey guys im getting paid around 200-300 ish next week and im stumped on what to get, service, group A/monaro bonnet, sound system??? ne idea's appreciated. Im willing to save up as well for something worth while, as long as i dont have to wait till im 30 lol thx

Get a service if you cant do the work yourself. No point having a nice car if it runs like a bag of **** or you dont look after it.

yea i was thinking that but my cars running ok atm ,except for that stupid air leak and the whistle still, but yea it might need a bit of a tune, but yer any other suggestions

You could get a set of 16in clubby copies for that, or maybe even 17s for abit more

ive got 2 1/2 inch exhaust with a lukey muffler, sound system ( 4", 6", twin 12" subs, no amp yet ), bout it so far

you could also get most of the stuff needed for a level 3 dash coversion for that.

like i said in the other thread, it has to be a VN or VP dash.

Then you can transfer just the VS HSV speedo into the VP cluster.

To be honest none of them are going to give you a huge increase in power. If it was me, I would service it first, oil, filters, leads, plugs. Then grab the VS L67 CAI from Holden (costs around $30 or something like that), and find a V8 throttle at the wreakers. Should have you under the $300 mark and give you a nice running car.

Ummmm its a tube of cast metal with a metal plate in it..........not much can go wrong. You can't get a new throttle anywhere.

It has all be covered before mate. On another note, do you have a gregories manual for your car? If not I would strongly suggest you get one.
On the 5.0lt its on the front of the manifold, simply unhook all the hoses, sensors and cables and then using a 12mm open ended spanner undo the two bolts and slide it off. Basiacally the same with the 3.8lt just its in a prick of a spot.

Yeah they are identical bar the size. I'll take a pic of my bored out one tomorrow before I put it on.
