gdai guys, been readin afew how-to's lately, n im looking for different little tricks n tips for beter throttle response n that lil bit more HP

internall stock 3.8 V6 VP, jus got K&N pod, NGK plugs, top gun leads, all ur usualy lil things

i will most likely b takin my TB off soon for a good clean n polish, and while im in there probably take out the bellmouth

but are there any other lil things like this 2 increase Hp and throttle response??

if u havnt gathered im not rollin in $$$ so i cant do big mods, im jus after lil home-job things to get her cruisin nicley????

not much you can do with a stock v6 mate for cheap... unless your a welder, mechanic and engineer in one with alot of expensive equipment...

but im not interested in buyin parts if u read tha post, i jus wana have a tinker under tha bonnet n do lil free things, like polishin n removin unnessecary parts, so sorry if posts have been made, but i thought this could b a bit more specific to what im after, and if u dont like it dont post!? woulda thought thats pretty easy

if i go 2 tha wreckers rip off a TB from a 5lt, is that easily enough chuked on tha 3.8??

Buy 3.45 diff gears, 3.9's if you don't do much driving at 100ks, get rid of that stinking pod and make yourself a good cold air intake.

Make sure you have the throttle body opening all the way. Get rid of anything heavy in the car that you don't need or want. And get a more agressive tune put in it and run 95 octane fuel

If you want to make more power, get rid of the pod.

yea i find that making your own thread gives you more of an idea, and i know its annoying having to repeat things, but isnt that what forums are for, and yea if u dont wanna post u dont have to lol, btw airstrike u jsut answerd my question about the throttle body from my thread. lol

havnt been for a few weeks, but last time i was there, there were a couple of 5lts, mind u they probably all striped in that department, have 2 get down there this week have a look

so does tha 3.8 run a 60mm TB and tha 5lt a 65 or 70mm TB? or am i all wrong?

It's just annoying for us long standing members when we see the same post that has been posted without a shadow of a doubt 500 times.
I was just talking from experiance that its quite rare for a) there to be a 5.0lt at the wreakers and b) that all the bolt on's aint stripped. What wreakers did you see the 5.0lt's at?
The V6 is 60mm and the V8 65mm.

For a tune I would just go the SV3800 or wait until you have finished all your mods and then get a custom one, but that will be more then your looking to spend.

I'm lucky i think its $80 or $100 for V8TB at wreckers. my mateis getting Twin throttles on his so he gave me his 65mm TB and i gave him my 60mm one so that was good and this TB that i got off his opens all the way not like my old one
