Default making my car louder ! ?

Ok I got a V6 and I’m running a set of high-tech extractors and a 2 ½ inch red back exhaust. I used to have a pod air filter but recently changed it over to a bigger induction CAI and I have noticed my car doesn’t sound as beefy was it did.
Just curious if anyone has any idea how I can make it sound tougher with out changing my set up to much. And how much it would set me back
    Thanks guys

    Nick

Changing the intake from a pod will make it quieter to you because the intake noise is quieter. Do you have a rear resonator? Removing that will make it louder.

The resonator is the round muffler at the very back of the car. Cutting that off and replacing with pipe will make it louder.

The resonator takes out certain frequencies in the exhaust making it a bit quieter, the bigger the resonator the quieter it will be.

Just have a look under your car lol, go to the back and look under, if there is a muffler near the tip of your exhaughst then you have a resonator.

Y'all want loud? Then run a 2.5 inch straight through pipe from the cat back. That'll give you loud. Might be an idea to keep the original exhaust handy though, for when you need to get the thing undefected every month or so.

Luke Duke: You mean you're gonna make sweet love IN it.
Beau Duke: Oh no, I'm gonna have sex with it.

To be totally legal dont you have to have a resonator? What are the requirements for a legal system?

In a nut shell to be legal it much have a cat covertor, no louder then 90dB (pretty hard with a modified exhaust, my SS made 97-98dB) and must exit from the rear of the vehicle.

Why do you want to make the V6 loud it's farrrrrrr better for the general popualtion to keep them silent because they sound pretty dodgy. Concentrate on speed rather than noise

Um sometimes if your car quietens down, it can be a deteriorating cat converter, get a new one and see what happens, it happened to me once, fitted a 2.5inch redback cat back, about 2 months later it lost power and went quiet, i bashed the cat out and back to normal it was.
