hey guys last when removing my battery, i noticed a cord had been grinded by the front belt and snapped, its the little cord (1 of the 2 cords) that runs from the throttle body all the top of the engine down to the little black cylander that sits next to the battery and radiator. Am i able to drive my car still with this cord snapped or is it a bad idea? also what does the little black cylander do?? it says fuel tank on it for some reason :S

mate sounds like the hoses that go to your carbon canistor. this forms part of your emissions control and is required by law. as far as affecting the running of your car it shouldnt affect it. my advice would be to go down to your local wrecker or holden dealer and grab a couple of new ones. hey wrecker may just give them to you and i can't see holden charging you too much...
Yeah that's just emissions crap, you'll need to fix it before your next rego, but it's not big deal. One of mine keeps coming out every now and then. Hasn't blown up or anything yet.
Beau Duke: Man, I'm never gonna get outta this car again. I'm gonna live in it, I'm gonna eat in it and I'm gonna make sweet love to it!
Luke Duke: You mean you're gonna make sweet love IN it.
Beau Duke: Oh no, I'm gonna have sex with it.

What exactly does this thing do? Carbon canistor? Sheez, does it just pull carbon out or something?
