heyas
i wanna lower my vp i dont wanna spend any money on it so will just cut the springs. how much ya reckon i would have to cut the front and rear to get it down about 2 inches? it has the stock springs in it
really cant afford to get proper springs and it looks **** at the height its at with 15s on it
thanks![]()
What he is trying to say is DONT DO IT.Not a good start to ask that question first post.Save your money and get propper springs.
These guys will tear you a new rear if you want to do this.
Someone please close this thread as we all know how its going to turn out.
If you don't value your own car, safety, well being or the safety and well being of those around you, then I suggest you buy a bike and sell your VP before you ruin it.
Short on cash? Chuck a few sandbags and a tool kit in the boot. That'll take care of the ride height.

well what can happen if i just cut the springs?
i have heard it done before didnt think it was a big deal
and pfft on this being a first post being stupid and lockin the topic how am i gonna learn anything if ya just treat me like i am stupid
Do a search on Cut or Chopped springs and all will be revealed. For safetys sake, do it properly, plus you get a better handling car out of it. Is your car IRS? dont forget a camber kit once you do lower it if it is
nah its not irs
whats the camber kit worth?
whats a good brand of springs to go for? i wanna keep it at a roadworthy height cos i really cbf having the cops hassle me
kings are about 100-120 per pair but do require the rear shocks to be changed with rear super lows
get some 2nd hand springs on ebay, you might get the lot for, 50-100 bucks, or go to a self serve wrecker, they won't know the difference between lowered and standard springs, and will probably cost $20 a pair
Lovells for handling, kings for looks, kings will ride harsher and lower than the equivalent lovells, not being IRS, you dont need to worry about a camber kit
here is a do, and a do not
DO use the search function
and
DO NOT cut springs
