Easter Saturday is coming up and I'm working ,
so i get a massive pay pack next week so I was thinking of dumping this stock exhaust and getting a new cat-back exhaust ,
what should i get? 2" , 2.25" , 2.5" ???
It's just stock car no mods, maybe a k&n panel filter as well.
How much should i be looking at for a new exhaust installed?
It's just a v6.
I don't want something thats too loud and will attract cops.
I just want a nice sound and small power gain.

Without extractors, last tuesday I payed $260 for 2.5" Straight Through Exhaust System, with rear resonator. Lukey brand.

Thats fully installed and everything. Sounds schaweet, imo.

$250 is about the mark, and as above I would suggest Lukey for the mufflers. $250 plus chrome tip I might add.

how much do they charge for a chrome tip?

also what size exhaust should i get?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, chrome tip came with that :P

He means $250 INCLUDING chrome tip. Which I payed $260 for the above ASWELL as chrome tip, just left it out by accident

go REDBACK, they sound good on any car, nice and deep at WOT and quite when cruising through towns.

do you think this would be a good buy? also if i bought that will it bolt straight up to my existing exhaust, say if i got these extractors could i bolt them up,bolt my cat-conveter to them and then go to the local exhaust shop and get a 2 & 1/2" cat-back exhaust, would it give my car more power.?, how long would you say it would take to install these for someone whose never done any work to an engine before and has minimal knowledge?

i hve a 2.5'' cat back with a redback muffler and no resonator and it sounded awesome it actually had a v8 burble when cruisin going up hills or around shops

Do NOT buy extractors off Ebay as they are all rip offs. You will get them cheaper from an exhaust store with warranty and you will know the place you are purchasing them from.

love your dp NV2NV , i have a 2 1/2 inch lukey cat back system cost me $300 but i knocked it back to $250 sounds pretty sweet to me but getting used to it so want more, hence getting extractors lol

extractors dont make any real difference in exhaust note, pointless add on for a completely stock n/a engine, waste of money unless you are actually going too do some big modifications.
