if your wanting a loan for a later model holden....wouldn't bother, parts are more expensive, and actually break down more than a VN ...VN was a vehicle that GMH had no real idea of, with the buick motor in it, it's potential

check ECU wiring loom and connectors, after checking fuel pressure,if it's firing it's obviously getting spark,so next step is to check that it's getting fuel(enough of it)

i havent played around with anything or touched anything so everything should be in the correct place. but i did notice ever since i removed the bellmouth my fuel has been going down like crazy. Im buying a new alternator on wednesday so thats one problem fixed, but i highly doubt the alternator is causing it to fire then stall on start up.

haveyou checked the fuel pressure? have you pulled a plug to see what they look like? a mate had a car that was runnign like crap, drank fuel by the gallon and i think it stalled a lot too, got so bad it wouldn't run etc. i nthe end all they did was adjust the fuel damper and that fixed it......after the y pulled the top half of the engine apart, ignition, wiring, leads etc etc etc

how do i do this? i recently just got a service so they replaced the old fuel filter with a new one, so that's one thing eliminated, electrical eliminated..

Have you got constant fuel pressure? The pump maybe priming it all up and then stopping.

Easy test. When you turn the key to the on position it will buzz away to pressurise the fuel system. Some people give the fuel tank a good old thump - but that can work once or kill the pump completely.

Hmmm odd one u got there. Theres not much that will let the car start and then die like that. You could try a mates ECU in your car. I think you said the fuel filter was changed. What else was looked at during the service?

dunno if anyone's said it, but is it the immobiliser, i've heard sometimes the switch gets broken and comes into effect.

when my immobes is on and i try to turn the car over, it starts the engine for like a sec then dies.
