Vn Backfired And Stopped Help!!

My VN was running very well and i turned into my driveway and it backfired and stopped dead.
Now it turns over and there's plenty of juice but it wont start.
It seems theres not spark?
I did a ECU teat and it say code 12 which is ok??
Anybody have any ideas on what this might be.
Or do i just ring a mobile mechanic.

Pull your plugs crank it over and check to see if you have spark.

No spark at any plug? Then my bet would be ignition module. Also known as DFI module to you v6 types i think? Anyway, if you know someone else who has a VN v6, borrow their's for a minute and see if that fixes it. If so then go find your nearest wrecker and get another one. If not, then it's time to take a closer look into what's going on.

Crank angle sensor failure shouldn't stall it though should it? Just makes it hard to start when warm, unless it's totally **** itself.

Are you a member of any Roadside Assistance Clubs ?? It would be cheaper than calling a mobile mechanic. Not sure who is in your area but in SA we have the RAA. I use them often to diagnose those kind of faults and then know what part to change.
