    Default Kickdown cable

    Hey guys just wondering in anyone on here has changed over a kickdwon cable, i've gotta replace mine but i haven't actualy had agood look yet but wondering if theres and special tools or tricks to do it or if it's straight forward?

    no ...no tricks,all you need is a jack and car stands if gearbox is still in car,a 10mm combination spanner,undo it from the throttle body,slide in under the car with your 10 mm spanner undo it,tilt to one side and it should slip off the saddle/clip thats holding cable in box.

    a bolt at gearbox end and a clip at the other. take the throttle body end off first from memory, the gearbox end has a hook but it pritty much falls off, after bolt is undone).

    Oh sweet as, thanks guys... does any one know it the one a S2 VN will fit a S1 vp?

    don't think there is any difference between series 1 and 2,aren't the VP's series 2 from production, i can't remember what month they changed the VN's from series 1 to 2,some time in the 90's wasn't it?

    Not 100%, well my vp is 91 and i'm sure that they were making the S2 vns in 91 still, an ithink that they are same... Anyway i got a kickdown cable today from a local transmission guy, so i'm off to go chuck it on.
