rare spares or any automotive upholsterer repairers, you may also be able to pick up a bargain on e-bay for moulded car/boot carpet.

if you're actually building a new boot using wood and stuff, i got my carpet from bunnings, they sell marine carpet which won't rot and it's the stuff they use for boats.

from memory the stuff got was 29 bucks per metre, but that buys you a piece thats 2metres long and 1 metre wide.

smart idea using marine carpet for the boot, especially with the dodgy taillight seals making your boot into a trnasportable bath tub

a bit off topic.....but i have been told by the glass repairers, the water actually leaks into your boot via the rear 1/4 windows, the rust that you see on your tail light retaining nuts, is actually from a rear ender and boot seal not sealing properly...so i have been told, when it rains the water runs down the bailey channel and for some reason gets past the 1/4 glass seal which apparently weren't sealed correctly from factory, but everyone has their ideas and may well have fixed them
    just a thought....

if you're thinking about that, you might want to check what your sub boxes are made from. mdf or any kind of wood in your boot will rot well faster than your boot will turn into a bathtub. marine carpet is just an unrottable carpet, not some kind of water holding tarp.
