VN V6 Camshaft failures

Years ago when they were still quite new I heard of VN V6 camshafts breaking (snapping) when still relatively young (around 140kkm).

Now that I have one I was wondering if this was/is common?

Anyone know about this? If so was it a faulty batch of cams or a problem with lubrication? Was there a fix?

was common in the 88 vn as they were the first of the bunch, but after 89 i haven't heard of it

your not talking about balance shaft? the one above the camshaft....it's very common for the bearing to go in them.
