    Default VN door seals split

    Gidday,

My VN doors seal have seperated with part staying around the door opening and the other hanging in the breeze.

I see that this is common.

Have the seals split or has glue failed causing the separation?

Has anyone successfully reglued the seals and if so what glue should I use?

Anyone know if new seals are available and for how much?

    Thanks, Mick

seals are available,as for price,i can't tell you,it's usually glue failure,i use bear brand glue,i can't think of the actual name of it...it's a light yellowish colour and goes tacky in about 5 mins

I used good ol' double sided moulding tape. It's stuck for the past 6 months, and still sticking strong.

I use Selleys all clear. Use a small amount and close door with the seal put back in place. For a large job take the door seal off completly and glue and tape into place out of the car. Leave over night and then remove holding tape and put back in car.

I just cleaned both surfaces where the door rubber came off and contact cemented it together. To hold it into place I put some strips of masking tape over the seal and closed the door.
