ok, iv picked myself up a VN memcal from the wreckers, and im after someone who is nice enough to burn the SV3800 tune for me,

i've heard a couple of guys on here can do it, and im hoping one of you will help me?

Not that much realy. I think the SV 3800 tune is rated at around the 132kw - only an extra 7 kws.


But after driving a car that was - well tired. IT Wants to go now!!!

For what a memcal & CAI costs - you wont get a better mod for a VN.

i can put you onto a fella that claims that you can gain upto 147Kw's stock,but will perform to the max with CAI and 21/2 " exhaust.(to closely achieve this 147Kw's).

none what so ever..he even guarantees it,basically it's a tune up to max limits for a stock VN, i guess you could call it.

so a CAI with 2.5"zorst = 7kw ok may i believe that but 7kw for just a CAI is maybe a little rich(unless it's on a larger engine etc). i tend not to believe eveything suppliers say about there products as they normally tend to overstate things a little etc

maybe so...they do cover their rears by saying "up to" but thats their statement,i will know for sure in a month or two as i am going CAI with my VN

"up to" i love that statement, it means it could also give nothing as well. anything with "up to" generally means an inflated number to begin with. in my opinion.......

So they say - But all I can say is the VN is going as good as it ever has. Wish I had done the SV3800 chip upgrade a long time ago.

I agree i slaped the sv tune in and it pulled and ran better than it ever had
and I would say that extra 7kw is legit and not over done at all

just had a call from a friend,rubbing it in that he has CAI before me , he doesn't know how many K'ws it has given him,but has just fitted an SS induction kit,he's wrapped with the extra power and throttle response he now has.
