Hey guys i know this has been coverd before but i find more info from making my own thred. After getting my exhaust i was told that the best type of exhaust for my car would be the 2 1/2 inch exhaust, now after going with my friend to get his exhaust today i noticed other commodores there with twin cats and twin pipes going down. I was just wondering what is the best exhaust for the V6 and also the V8 thanks.

Twin is better, but your car is fair stock so there is no need mate and twin is basically double the cost (cats x2, pipe x2, mufflers x2).
2.5" is perfect for a stock V6, but heavily modified V6's and mildly modified V8's make more use out of a twin system. A twin 2.25" system is generally all you'd need from a modified V6 too, as that will flow more than a single 3" system.
My theory would also be that you'd get best gains out of a 2.5" system. I really wouldn't bother going for the one-muffler option, I'd go for a system with two straight-through resonators. Helps keep things legal, and doesn't drone quite so badly down the anzac highway.
