Default Corvette servos and new gearbox mount own!:P

I swear putting a Corvette servo is the best cheap mod I've ever done, my VP feels like brand new and the new gearbox mount fixed my high speed vibration now it just screams to the redline soo good ,

VP simulation in text, man I'm so going to rip the other 5 litres tomorrow night :P

yeh but my engine is stock and i got really soft tread so it just chirps really loud (scares eveyone as i drive past lol) but if i did a few things to the engine then it would spin a bit pretty easy i reckon like it does in the wet

yeh if i ran 15's mine would spin too but i run 17's and it lets off a massive chirp but in the wet its a differant story, the ass end just flicks to the side as soon as i hit 2nd and like i said b4 its a matter of what tread you use

Well mine doesnt make much sounds because I have super soft tyres but it does spin AND best of all it gives the old neck a fair bend on the shift and really hauls the front end up in the air on the shift. Mines a bit different to a solid axel car, it squats down much harder into the road on launch and the shifts than a solid

I put it in, it's not toooooo hard but you wouldn't really want to do it without a hoist or at least really good stands because you have to lever the gearbox across to one side with a bar and jam pieces of wood inbetween the trans tunnel and the gearbox to get all the bits out

i put a corvette servo in my car a while back to try and stop the box from slipping, well it did that and now feels a whole lot stronger, like foamy said it was the best cheap mod that i have done to my car and all in an hours work, if you have good instructions.

Does the corvette servo still allow a smooth shift from first to second on light acceleration or will it still hold the high revs and slam into second? The reason I ask is mine seems to hold first for too long on light acceleration(goes up to about 3000rpm) and slams into second. The car might already have a corvette servo but if it doesnt maybe I will get one to see if it fixes this problem.

Nah, it'll always give you a little clunk shifting 1st - 2nd. But you get used to that very quickly. If your gearbox is holding 1st to 3000 under normal load, this is probably an issue with your shift cable being too lose. When I had my shift-kit installed, I asked for the cable to be tightened, and now, with a stage-2, she shifts at around 2300 under light load.
