    Thumbs up My New Mags

    Hey guys,

about a month ago I was in pursuit of some new rims as the 15's i previously had were not doing the trick for me, anyway i asked a few questions on here about 17's with 225/45 rubber and about scraping issues and got mixed answers

    *MORE** pictures here: www.cardomain.com/id/hypo_v6

I dont have any scraping issues at all, unless of course got a couple of people in the back and go over one of those lovely things called speed bumps/humps (some are more mountains these days) and the car has been lowered a little before i brought it a year ago.

enjoy, let me know what you think

yeah i looked into VY SS mags and they were about 1500$ for wheels alone no rubber, im more the happy with my rims though

www.tempetyres.com.au, good site got good prices, i had a little problem with one of my mags though it arrived scratched, and it took some serious talking to them to even get a replacment which i had to pay half the money for but they let me keep the other rim, so i got 5 rims and 4 tyres now

VY SS rims look good, but id suggest looking around a bit, because lots of cars are around with later model mags on, have a look into the HSV VY senator rims i think they are, they look sweet, but going to cost no doubt.

glad use like my rims cheers , im looking at body kit maybe next. . .or a in-dash screen

Personally i love the Vy R8 rims, they are simple yet tough. Although unfortunately i don't have $3500 for them. So VY SS seems to be the go. Not sure where you got $1500 without rubber from, if you check the trader they are going for $1100 ono with 90% tread. Even saw a set of 5 going for $1300 with 80% rubber.

they are Vault Stalkers, got them through tempetyres.com.au and they set me back $1299 for 4 mags 4 low profile tyres (225/45) then it was $85 postage, then one mag arrived with a big scratch so it took about 2 weeks to get them to get me a new one, which i had to pay half the price for but ended up saying ill pay another $80 for it.

so i spent about $1500 for everything basically, also including paint for calipers and hubs.

Tempetyres delievered to where i live Whyalla, SA in about 2 days, amazing speed just disappointed at the service when i said the mag had a scratch in it. . other then that its all good, mates have brought there and had no real big problems like that
