thanks for that, but im not sure its something to do with the fault codes, like sometimes it will flick up to the speed limit then just flick back down to 0km.. anyone have any idea wat this could be?

it could possibly be the speedo sensor on the transmission (my car is manual, not sure what setup is on the auto)

But a while ago my speedo just stopped out of nowhere, and the 3 wires in the speedo sensor were buggered.

You should be able to see it from the drivers side (if getting under the car, use axle stands, not just a jack) And it'll be on the side of the box.

driving it like a manual wouldn't break anything, despite what people say.

Ok, the plug your looking for, is on the side of the transmission.

Picture your sitting in the drivers seat, on the side roughly inline with where the power windows would be, is where it is.

To get to it, you have to jack the car up on the drivers side. (use axle stands...) then slide under and it should be staring you in the face.

The plug is white with 3(i think) wires soming out of it, and sits in the side of the gearbox housing.
