is the vn calais chassis much/any different to a vn s-pack chassis? i want to swap everything from a vn calais chassis onto a vn s-pack chassis.
Basically the dimensions & components are nearly the same.
The differences lie in the suspension & front brakes.
The V6 Calais has 271mm front rotors (small brakes) and smooth calipers.
The V8 Calais & all S packs have the 289mm rotors & finned calipers.
The rears are the same.
The bigger front brakes always ran a dual diaphragm booster, and often a 1" master cylinder.
It will all fit straight in (keep it all together) and the only real difference is the bracket from the front of the master cylinder to the RH strut tower is reversed in it's fold for the different boosters.
The S has FE2 suspension, which apart from being a little lower, also includes firmer shocks & springs, thicker swaybars, and some minor differences in the rear trailing arm bushes.
It doesn't really matter about the bushes or shocks as you should be replacing those by now anyway.
