Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of what I should expect to pay for an unregistered VN Calais V6 (around 1990 I think)? It's almost immaculate on the outside, lowered and the interior looks good, but it may not have a RWC either.
Is there any problems I should be looking out for apart from the usual VN oil leaks, rust, etc?
Thanks!
I'd pay no mare than $2,500 for an unregistered and no RWC VN Calais. But that also depends on overall condition inside and out.

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
Around $2000, some pictures would be nice
I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow. My daughter is in Echuca with the digi camera at the mo! As I said, it's pretty much immaculate outside. Looked like it had been machine polished, very few stone chips, and there are no visible dings on it, not even small ones. Hopefully I can get a good look inside tomorrow. I couldn't see what sort of K's it's done so i'll have to check that too.
For re-registering a car do Vicroads have to check it at one of their depots after it's had a RWC done? And if so, is that an extra cost?

After you get a RWC, Vicroads will rarely check the vehicle unless they think it's a dodgy. They'll just pop the bonnet, compare the engine and chassis numbers, and you're free to drive away.
But you're still paying stamp duty, registration, and purchase of new plates.![]()
