hi, just recently i have been driving my car, and when i pull up to a set of lights and nearly come to/ or come to a stop, my engine shudders and by the sounds of it,about to stall.. and it will keep nearly stalling until i take off then its fine. Sometimes it will not do this, the engine will run normal when i pull up to lights. anyone have any idea what this could be?
checked the IAC?
could be fuel pump on its way out (common on VNs)
im not a mechanic but maybe it could be this:
hows the alternator? if the belt is slipping then it could cause the alternator to stop providing enough power to the engine.
Have you recently replaced or disconnected the battery?
what was the last thing you had done to motor or electrical system??
ok well bout 2 weekends ago, i got a new motor put in my car, then after that i recently took that bellmouth out but put it back in because my car kept revving at a high rev rate "didnt know how to reset ecu", then my uncle came around and reset the ecu and helped me fix the water pump leak that i had. the only real thing ive done with the electrical was i took the positive off and left the negative on i did it bout 5 times "didnt know it short circuts the system" so could that be the case or? because after that some electrical things went wrong eg: the speedo doesnt work hardly at all.
This won't fix the problem, but you can compensate for it by taking off the front engine cover, and adjusting the little screw on the far side of the throttle that sets the base position of the throttle- It's essentially the same as a idle speed screw.
Remember, if you can't fix it, bodge it!
PS You are running on all cylinders aren't you?
I'd rather push my Holden than drive a Ford
