Default power steering fluid leaks right out in about 5 minutes..

hey im having a serious problem with my powersteering. As soon as i put power steering fluid in the power steering box, it leaks out from somewhere. I am about 75 percent sure the leak is comming from behind the power steering pulley just below the box, is there a plug behind that, that could be loose? also could it be leaking from anywhere else because other than that i cannot find any other leaks. I just really need to get this fixed because atm im back in the 40's...

Check the hoses that come off the pump. It could be leaking from the front seal, although it would have to be totally rooted to leak that fast.

this happened to me on my first vp, the seal ends in the left side of the rack had come undone causing all the oil to just fill the rubber boot up and then slowly leak onto the ground, have a look under your car and check the ends for oil

just took the pulley off, and it is leaking from the small steel wheel where the pulley spins on, not from the box, how do i fix this? anyone have any idea?

You will need to take the shaft out and replace the seal. Not entirely sure how it's done on a VP as I've only done a VS one.

Personally, i would just replace the pump with a second hand one from the wreckers- just make sure you get at least a month's warranty on it!
