    Do you mean this one?

If so then just undo the hose clamp (its a bit tight to get to) and the clamp onto the back of the block.

hmmmm usually they are brittle and crumble from age.... ive started using a thick 50mm coach screw and screwing it in there after the retaining bolt and hose is undone and pulling it straight out in one piece.
its sometimes alot easier to take the whole manifold off lol

sorry for reopening this old thread, but there is a new brass adapter by kilkenny castings (part number: KC38MC) thats available. I bought one from work (repco) for the day that mine does crack. It comes: the adapter and seal as one piece so you won't have to get it from holden.

Seeing as this one's already been re-animated, if I intend to replace these things, I use a big pair of pliars, crush them flat, and pull them out... Works every time like a charm. Mind you, this is a lot simpler if you remove the valley cover and do it on a bench.
