    Default Vns2 Crack In Block

Hi there my VNS2 broke down awhile ago i though it was the cas as my cas was loose and the bracket was cracked you could move the cas about 1mm or so side to side.Anyway i replaced it tried to start the car it wanted to it did start at one stage and really really idled roughly for about 30 seconds.Anyway i was having alook at my engine againe then notice a long crack in the front of the block. At the front of block where aircon motor sits in the crack started from ilke on that edge comes out then runs straite up the front of the block. What could cause this as it's pretty rear i've heard for a VN Engine block to crack

yeah the old GM Buick Block is pretty tough... they are pretty resiliant!

Heat is a major caus eof cracking, it findds a weakness in the metal and stresses it. There are other causes but mainly heating and rapid cooling will do it.

Luky there a dirt cheap block! just graba new one!

    aZk.

Ps. Ive only heard of one other block related incident with these engines and that was when hozy lost a conrod through the side of his....
