I have recently discovered a slight thumping in my driveline when i jab the accelerator and also when im accelerating and the release the pedal quickly. It also does it occasionaly when the car is naturaly deccelerating. Could this be my uni joints? or is this just wishfull thinking..
thanks guys
Sounds more like the centre bearing mount on the tailshaft. The rubber splits and the centre bearing thumps against the floor.
center bearing is more likely nad a common problem on older commodores. check the unis also, however you'd notice a single clunk when you either step on the gas fromcoasting or when you let off the gas from accelerating etc

I had a VN 5speed man on it's ar$e and when I nailed it I used to get a thump through the floor. Look above diff pinion and see if diff is hitting the floor.
