apnx vs arbp

Hey guys,

Just got back from some 'testing' after i burnt an arbp (sv3800) tune to a spare memcal. I think im going to have to say im dissapointed...

I have a spare ecu, so i did a bit of swaping. The apnx feels more crisp, but other than that, i cant pick a difference. Ive left the arbp in to see how it goes after a while, maybe there will be a change once it starts correcting mixtures. does it take this into consideration under WOT? maybe thats where the difference is. the car always felt a bit fresher after a ecu reset.

The car is a 11/88 series 1, auto.

Any thoughts?

Well this is what I've been saying for a while, the SV3800 chip makes people believe their car goes faster and it does have a slightly richer mixture at WOT so on slightly modified cars it might go faster BUT apnx has more spark at WOT and I'd be backing it to be quicker on a totaly stock car. This is why when someone asks me to send them a SV3800 tune I don't really send one untill I fix it up a bit:P shhhhhhhhhhhh

The car is totally stock, bar a missing resonator i think. So... what should i try now? Will a 'fixed up a bit' tune be much better than apnx on a stock car?

Once i get ****** windows back on my laptop, ill be able to get some aldl logs, but ive only got an eprom burner for a couple days.

the SV3800 tune is pretty tame to say the least. ist 3 or 4 kw better but most of that is in the exhaust.lol
get one of those SV3800 tunes off ebay... theyre worth 12 to 25 kw depending on who you listen to.
