    driver side of the engine bay, next to the exhaust manifold, screwed in to the bay wall

    thanks for your very quick response i apreciate it how hard is it to replace it can it be done by the owner or is it better to pay a mechanic

    easy to replace just need a socket like 10mm or something and a screw driver. they are easy to break then the plastic goes soft. but its already broken by the sound of it.
    13.3 1/4 exhaust only untuned!

    yeah, but if you can, pull it out and bring it with you to autobarn or wherever, cos there are a couple of types, one with 5 connections and one with only 2.

    at first when i described the straight through, they sold me a ford one
    which had the wrong pipe size.

    also if your hoses are on the way out, it might be a good time to renew them, or at least check the endpoints your joining up again for perishing/cracks/hardness

    mine had this so i had to redo it all again to swap it.

    if you do it right it's only a 1/2 hour job, and piss easy
