    Default vp v6- vk v8??

    hi guys i have a vp wagon...and was thinkin about getting a v8 k-frame and installin a v8!!......i was thinkin of installing a carbie v8 from a vk or something is this possible do they have the same mounts? is it a straight fit??

    yep all straight in there easy as, the only problem m8 had doing this was he used a vn 2.0 opel lol the fuel lines couldnt flow enough for the 8, but you wont have any trouble with that, youll have to block the return line, dont you love commodores lol more leggo than nissan cars are

    As I understand it, you will not be able to do this unless you go gas. Emissions laws require an engine change to be no older than the model car that the engine is going into, in this case vk is out due to it being older.

    Gas is an option, however you may as well as just get a nv-vt efi v8 and throw that in

    i was just hoping i could do it due to older 8's being alot cheaper then vn-vp 8's

    Thats because VN V8's are EFI and 163kw mate.

    Why put a 117kw engine in your VP when stock your V6 has 127kw? Going backwards 10kw?

    The extra money for an EFI 5L would be well worth it for the extra 46kw!

    163?? 165 wasnt it not that it matters much
    13.3 1/4 exhaust only untuned!

    and the EFI 5.0L wont use as much fuel. A friend has got a vk V8 and it is very thursty

    A friend has a VK Brock with the 5L, thats thing drinks and it's been rebuilt!!! I'd go for the VN-VP 5.0L, more power and more fuel economic.
