Dye Carpet?

Crazy question but do ya reckon it would be possible to dye the vn carpeting to black?

I know nothing about dyes or anything like that... anyone here changed the carpeting colour? How did you go about it?

i saw in a car magazine you can get carpets in any colour you want for like 120$ or something. ill see if i can find it again

I just used an airosol can of upholstry paint said it was suitable for vinyl carpet and velour did a damn good job too need a couple of cans to do the whole carpet.looks just as good as my mates $140 replacement carpet.

i used some of the aerosol dye for a stip of black in my boot. came out nice, but that was on marine carpet which is shorter and less soft. it feels kinda scrubbier so it might not work to well with the floor carpet, but i'd give it a shot if you're thinking about buying a replacement anyway, all that can happen is you'll have a bit of black until you buy the new stuff.

go to lincraft and get a packet of black fabric dye, take ya seats out and get a sponge.. ur supposed to add this in with a load of washing, i got a bucket of water and sponged it on, let it dry.. using spray makes it all dry and crusty
