We had some good times
any mechanic should be able to hook u up with one if you dont wanna fix it yourself, otherwise i think holden still sell them new
and centre console's can be painted.
We got rep back, yaaay!
id try holden first
Holden quoted me $60 for a new wagon tailgate lock for my VN so that sorta gives ya an idea..
i think there's a thread in the vic members section about wreckers locations and stuff, give em a call around and the gregories manual probably tells you how to do it
I got a new boot lock from wreckers for $20. But then another $20 or $30 i think it was to get it re-coded by a lock smith so all my locks take the same key
Australia. Love it or leave it
Go to U-pull it or something similar where you can pull the part off your self.
Grab a few and pull them apart its not hard.
When you have stripped the guts out of the barrel you will find a heap of brass pieces that are numbered and have small springs on them.
Pull them from the center carefully.
Each number represents a different offset for the lock.
Using trial and error, put one piece back in at a time so that when you put your key in it slides the brass piece level. Its hard to explain but you will see what i mean if you give it a try.
Then continue with each of the 5 or 6 pieces until all holes are filled and the key slides in.
When you have all the pieces back in insert your key and you will see all the brass pieces disappear inside the lock
Put the center back into the barrel and turn it, if you have the right pieces in the right places it will turn.
I did this with my VN door lock and it worked a treat, took about 20mins to get it right.
Just make sure you get all the numbered brass pieces in the set, 1-8 i think
