Default VR wheel on VN. problems

Hi there i know people have posted about this before but i want to put a vr wheel on a vn and i have heard that it leaves a big gap. has anyone found a way to fix this gap? and when you say bang the steering wheel with your fists at 3 and 9 oclock, do u mean banging the sides of the wheel in the direction towards the centre of the wheel? or banging it on the sides of the wheel in the direction from the drivers seat towards the front of the car. any help would be appreciated.

Don't know about the gap, but you hit the wheel on the front towards the front of the car. So in effect, you are hitting the wheel onto the shaft. This shocks the taper and it comes loose. You have to hit it hard and fast.

also leave the nut on the shaft (flush so you dont damage it) and hit that - pops it off fast as

There is a small gap there but it shouldn't really be of concern, I just got a piece of large diameter rubber pipe from Bunnings and cut a section of that to go into the gap and that worked well

I had a VR wheel on the VP i had and the gap was nothing to worry about.Get a VS(i think) wheel that looks like an airbag wheel,it goes on a VN with no gap.

yep, i have a vr wheel on my vn, fits perfectly and who really cares about a gap? its behind the wheel, not like it makes it more dangerous and your not going to see it

btw hurry up and change it, its a nice feel over the standard truck vn wheel
