last saturday night while i was driving my car the speed limit needle was moving like it was the revs.. and then it died completely after that night..
i checked the fuses i swaped some over to make sure the fuses worked, i checked if the connections were dirty... then i put my old cluster back in. on that its the same rpm works so does the fuel/temp
but the speedo doesnt work?????? could it be the speed sensor i doubt it though... i need helpppppppppp![]()
I'd say speed sensor
speed sensor has nothing to do with it. its the cable for the speed. must be faulty.

We had some good times
hey guys i'm not sure if anyone can help me but, i have a red vn holden ss 5 speed manual thats been sitting in my garage for the last 5 years and it is now time to put her back on the road. But she needed some minor parts and an oppurtunity came up for me to buy a red vn ss v8 4 speed auto thats near a wreck. and the guy told me its a vn ss HSV!! while i'm still not convinced because i could'nt find any HSV buid no.s or HSV id plate (not sure if have been removed) because there are alot of hsv parts on it such as, HSV pinstriping,HSV cold air intake, different door cards to my vn ss,and different part on boot lid looks like a statesman number plate holder. I just wanted to know for sure before i completly wrecked another piece of our great holden history,it would take alot to bring her back but i've never even seen a vn ss hsv model before and would like to restore it. but if not i would get all the better parts of it to make my vn ss even better the model of the so called HSV is MODEL- VN8VK19-124
My ss MODEL- VNV8VK19-AG9
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys steve.
go make a thread on it, not on mine
