Hey guys I'm new to all this, I was wondering if anyone could help me! I have a original vn ss 5.0l 5 speed manual that has been garaged for the last 5 years. But now it's time to get her back on the road! I needed some parts for a road worthy when a opportunity came up to buy a near wreck VN SS HSV 5.0l 4 SPEED AUTO ? or so the guy who had it told me! I went ahead and bought it anyway cause it was for the right price. But i'm not convinced that its a HSV model, But in sayin that I've never seen one! It has HSV pinstriping and badges, and different door cards to my SS,and also a different tailgate, its like a statesman tailgate, and just other small differences that you can tell are factory and not aftermarket. But no HSV buid plate or HSV build number (not sure if they have been taken off?) The only reason i ask is because if it is a HSV model i do not want to destroy it! i'll just keep it in the garage for a time when i have more money to restore it! Or if it is an SS i will take all the good parts off to make one good SS. Can some one please help!!! i spoke to the local holden dearlership and all they could tell me was it was a better spec car???? here are the Model No.s.
Vn SS HSV?? MODEL- VN8VK19-124
My Vn SS MODEL- VN8VK19-AG9
Any help would be much appreciated thanks guys
Hey thanks for your response 88greenVn, so is the -124 model anything speacial or just a regular 5.0l commodore?
Hey no need to reply 88greenvn i just did a search on executive and found out what it was! someone sure did spend alot of money to make it look like a vn ss hsv! But i only paid $500 for it, so i figure the motor and gearbox has got to be worth that alone!! plus the ss bodykit, cold air intake, ect. Thanks again for your help it is muchly appreciated!!
