Question vp calais. couple of questions n issues

ok so figured i would try n have my questions answered in one post.

firstly my calais came with like a vt remote/key all in one, tho it has never worked, central locking works and when i play with the fuse in the engine bay for the remote locking the indicators flash and the locks do something, now the key over in the passenger side door jam is turned off- i thought it was aftermarket didnt realise it came with the car, now is there anyway to to bypass the key lock from behind to turn it on? i want my keyless entry and imobaliser working! any ideas?

also i cant reset my trip computer where it tells me "trip time/ average fuel/ distance travelled" i can only reset the distance travelled and i want to reset it all to start a fresh!

next on my list is wondering if all vp calais (v6) came with an lsd? and if theres anyway to tell, and also how to check the oil levels in my diff? it has like a breather tube coming out of the top of it if that helps lol.

any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers

No they didnt have LSD standard, I would say very few V6 calais' had it. To check, jack her up and spin one rear wheel. If the wheel on the opposite side spins the same way its LSD. I think lol (someone will correct if its the other way around )

You would think.... mine is a single spinner, but when you jack her up you cant turn either wheel... yes the handbrakes off

But perhaps you have chucked a skid and left two tyre tracks and then tried again and its only left one..... mine does the same..... I'm sure its just an IRS thing- my diff still has the single spinner code stamped on the tag, and I'm positive the previous owner never swaped an LSD into her

Your handbrake is off, but is your gear in Neutral?
