Default VR door speaker pod colour matching

    Hey all

I've got myself a pair of VR speaker pods for the front doors and was looking at spraying them the same colour as my door trims (which are the VP exec trims)

Just curious as to what paint is best to use and if anyone knows of a paint that matches the blue\grey trim colour pretty well

    Thanks in advance

i got no advice, but i reckon it'll look worse if you try to match them and don't pull it off. better to do something as a contrast, like paint your centre console and your radio surrount to match them too.

I asked about getting some spraying done at the local tafe and was told they don't take work away from the industry.....what tafe you going to?

i finished ages ago but i went to chisolm in dandy
what you should do is go to paintmobile or body shop and get them to match it then get a panel shop to paint them for ya.
dont forget to ask for a matt finish otherwise they will look out of place

Actually it was doors I was wanting to get painted, and it was GippsTAFE I asked about doing it at. Thought they could use the doors as a test or something for a third yr apprentice.
As for me speaker pods, I'm planning on having them covered in leatherette to match the door skins and seats.

I went to a paintshop and was told $200-350 per door, and thats with me stripping them to a bare shell and supplying the paint.
