    Default VN/VP/VQ/VG ute specs

Do the utes run the same wheel base and chassis as the statemans?
What are the major differences between the sedans/wagons to the utes? They run nearly identical setup?
I'm thinking of buying one and when looking around, want to get a fair idea of what I can replace off a vn/vp if need be from a wreckers.
Any info on the utes is appreciated!

utes are a wagon/statesman wheel base, everything is the same, mine is pieced together from various vn cars ect.....

utes are just more fun to drive lol.... if you dont miss having junk space in the cab

Just curious because I could get a front cut for under a grand!

Only one thing stopping me from buying one; the inconsistent prices of them. What is a vn/vp/vq/vq buick on around 200,000kms doing at over the $4500 mark?
Some VS utes with similar kilometers and in good condition go for this much...
I'm just waiting for one around the $3000-$3500 mark. Then might put a vs/vr front end on it, we'll see.

The VG was the first of the new breed. They only made just over 5000 of them. They made the VS ute for around 5 years or more and thousands more than the VG.

The old supply and demand thing.

So in the end, is it better to pay a couple of grand more to get a VS? It's probably better with the ecotec and drivers airbag. And don't the vs utes have IRS, unlike a vn's live?
    mmmmmmm decisions

I think the VU's were the first with IRS.

Solid is better for towing and having loads anyway I guess...
I want to put bikes in the back and do some towing too.
The one with the airbag wins then... its good to be safe.
