PM 1991_VN2NV, or 88GreenVN, they've both done this to their VNs.

Going by both of their responses, its not an easy task. Doable, but only with alot of patience, as you have to rip the whole aircon system out

Yeah, 88GreenVN transplanted a full loom into his car and I did a patch loom.

You'll need climate loom, plug, HVAC box and all its bits and peices, sensors (both interior and exterior so ambient air temp sender and solar sensor), climate module, the climate resistor. You obviously have to remove the entire dash, remove the HVAC box and replace it, wire up the ambient temp sensor through the firewall, solar sensor in the demister vents etc. then patch the wires for the climate loom into your current loom if you do it my way which includes making a new fused connection, running a wire to your ECU and basically splicing a bunch of wires.

    Dash and Hvac box out:

    Putting the dash back in:

yeah i can vouch for the big job bit,ive just finished a conversion on me ute stato dash/console/climate control/elec windows/mirrors ect.
I used the stato lume complete and removed the rear section which went to the rear doors, the only trouble i have now is the driveres door does'nt want to unlock with the key,and the central locking do'nt work, thought maybe this is because the alarm could be turned off ?
