    Default VN S1 Manual Conversion

ok, ive got a VN S1 auto, im pretty sure im getting a manual conversion from another VN (S2). Now in a VN S1 there is a 6 bolt flywheel, but all the manual VN's were 8 bolt, how can i over come this??? and how much do manual conversions go for just so i got a general idea?

    thanks,

$2000-$2500 that includes everything you'd need and labour depending on where you go

First off ALL S1 VN's had a 6 bolt crank. but the cranks are different (length i think) meaning you cant do a straight swap. But i think Castlemaine Rod Shop and V6 Conversions have made a flywheel to overcome this? in VN S2 they all went to a common 8 bolt crank.

    please and thank you

yes its possible, you need a special flywheel available from castlemaine rod shop (CRS) have a look on this page The Castlemaine Rod Shop Gearbox & Clutch Components

v6 conversions is another place that could help you out ChevTorque, Located in Perth Western Australia we specialise in v6 conversions and chevrolets.

even though all s1 have a 6 bolt crank, they crank differs between auto and manual from what i'v read. making converting a s1 auto > manual difficult. give CRS a ring they should tell you what you need to know.

ok all to clear this up..
i did a auto to manual conversion on a s1 vn last weekend...and yes the flywheel on the auto s1 is differ to the manual s1.....they are both 6 bolts but the pattern is differ the auto has a smaller radius pattern where the manual is a larger radius...
so if its not a factory manual s1 it isnt goin to be a straifght bolt up...but what i did was take the crank out of a s2 motor and bob's ur uncle it work
