vp 5.0 has no spark

my wifes vp calais is stuck on the side of the road with no spark at all, it had a problem earlier in the night then cleared up but then she broke down with no spark, it has a fairly new coil and leads, what should i check?

just went to the car and checked a few things, the ign relay is getting power when you switch on the ign switch, relay is working, but there is no power at the wire coming out of the harness along the firewall that goes to the coil.
