hey guys. i got a Vp commo. and wenever i turn on the car in the mornings or after it has cooled down for awhile im getting like this water sound running past the dash? and wen it gets goin for abit it stops. only for like a few seconds it does it. anyways.. ive checked for leaks n stuff and im loosin fluid from my radiator.. and also getting like abit of sludge in there just like dirt lookin colour.. so there is prob a leak somewhere for that to happen? ive taken it to a few different places to get opinions. and one guy says i need new head gaskets coz its leakin water n wen it does that it takes the water from the heater? anyways went to another guy he said the first guy doesnt kno anything.. lol. prob gonna have to get it pressure tested soon just suss it out abit more.
oh if it helps it kinda happened after i chnaged the coolent over. well after that anyways but i have changed it over before a number of times and its never dun this.
just wondering if anyone else has had this problems before and if they may have an idea of wat it may be?
thanks

i Believe there is a thread similar to this. My understanding is your heater has air in it you need to bleed your cooling system to resolve it.
yah ive dun that. got all the air out. maybe need to do it some another point?
did you let the car idle for 10 or so minutes with heater on turned right up? then stick a bottle on the radiator and fill with water/coolant and let the air out through the bleeder screw?
Here is the thread i was talking about
watery sound from behind dash so it may also be your radiator has a slight leak or you need a new cap
ah k thanks man, yeah abit confusin about what he has dun tho with the milk carton.. but i have bled the air out so im not sure what im doin wrong..
ill try it tho on the w.e, thanks again man![]()
just cut the bottom off a milk bottle or cordial bottle so its like a funnel and put it in where the radiator cap goes fill it with water (so its got water in the funnel and is the highest point of cooling system) then undo the bleeder screw and let some coolant come out for a bit till all the air gone.
This must be done with the car warmed up (so thermostat is open letting water circulate through motor) and the heater on FULL.
ok sweet as i just went and dun that before, ill see how she is in the morning..
